Largentière, petite ville de 2000 habitants située à 10 kms environ au sud d'Aubenas est la plus petite sous préfecture de France,

Elle a tiré son nom de son sous-sol puisque du Xème au èmesiècle, les contes de Toulouse et les évêques de viviers ont exploités les mines d'argent.

Son château du XIIème siècle, son église, son Hôtel de ville Renaissance, son palais de justice et sa tour "Argentière" ou l'on cachait autrefois l'argent produit des mines, en font une ville chargée d'histoire et fort agréable à visiter.

Après avoir franchit le pont de la ligne, vous flânerez dans les ruelles de la vieille ville
